Anna, Farmstead Ale brewed with honey, 6.5%
Anna (1902-1993) was our grandfather’s sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rest upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this honey Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, European and American hops, Vermont wildflower honey, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Anna.
Arthur, Farmstead Ale, 6%
Arthur (1922-2005) was our grandfather’s youngest brother; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his 13 siblings. In his honor, this Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, American and European hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Unfiltered and naturally carbonated, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Arthur.
Blueberry Harvest, Farmstead brewed with blueberry aged in Oak , 6%
For this installment, we paired a blend of our Farmstead® ales—all of which rested in oak for more than 20 months—with organic wild Maine blueberries from Merrill Blueberry Farms in Hancock, Maine. This harmonized occurrence has rested in the bottle since May 2021, achieving its balance of complex acidity and seasonal fruit representation.
Civil Disobedience, Blended Barrel-aged Farmstead Ale 27, 6% Farmstead Ale
This batch was blended and packaged in February 2019, woven from several unique threads—including wine barrel-aged Dorothy; puncheon-aged Anna; an experimental Farmstead® ale featuring Perle hops; and nearly 14-month-old wine barrel-aged Brother Soigné.
Florence, Farmstead Wheat Ale, 5%
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired wheat Farmstead® ale is crafted from American malted barley, organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence.
Soignee Cherry Raspberry, Farmstead Ale conditioned atop fruit pomace, 5%
Ages ago, our dear friend Bim Lafontaine traveled from Japan to brew with us the inaugural batch of Brother Soigné, a collaboration that we continue to produce in the spirit of that visit. We condition a small portion of Brother Soigné atop fruit pomace. The result honors both the legacy of that first brew day and the satisfaction of exploration.
