Subscriptions FAQ

Getting Started:

Welcome! To get started, please fill out a subscription sign up form. 
 
Questions? Email us at subscriptions@citybeerstore.com and someone will respond straight away.

Forms received by the 1st of the month will receive their first installment in that same month. Forms received after the 1st will receive their first installment the following month.

Subscription installments will be ready around the 15th of each month. We will send email updates every month with the exact date.


You must be 21+ to sign up for a subscription.
 

What To Expect in Your Subscription Pack:
Depending on the size subscription you’ve selected (6, 12 or 24 pack) you’ll receive a package each month with your selected number of cans and/or bottles ranging from 12oz cans, 16oz cans, and 500ml bottles.
 
We want to make sure you get the most delicious and exciting variety of beers to taste each month. The mix of can and bottle sizes may vary to ensure we’re sending you the best possible package based on what brewers are producing at any given time.
 
The subscription selections are hand picked by our enthusiastic beer savvy staff and are unable to be exchanged for other selections. 

 

Billing
If you’ve selected a month-to-month subscription, you will be automatically billed on the 5th of each month. If you need to cancel your subscription, you must do so before the 5th of the month. Subscriptions cancelled after the 5th will still be charged and fulfilled for that month.


If the charge is declined, we’ll notify you and pause your subscription until you provide a new form of payment.
 
If you’ve selected a set duration subscription (ex: 6 months) payment for the full subscription duration, including any shipping or delivery charges, will be processed upon receipt of your sign up form.

 

RECEIVING YOUR SUBSCRIPTION

City Beer offers 3 ways to receive your subscription each month: pick up at our San Francisco shop, shipping in California and local delivery in San Francisco.

Pick-Up's
Subscription packs will be available for pick-up during our regular pick-up windows (12pm to 9pm Monday to Friday or 2pm to 9pm Saturday) at our San Francisco shop located at 1148 Mission Street.
 
If you’re picking up, we can hold your subscription for 30 days after the email notification is sent.
 
If you do not pick up within the 30 day window, the beers will be sold and the funds donated to a nonprofit of our choice. Refunds are not available for unclaimed subscriptions.
  
 
Shipping in California
Subscriptions are shipped or via GLS or UPS and shipping times can vary, although most shipments will be received next-day. All orders are shipped during regular business days (Monday - Friday, excluding holidays).

Shipping charges are as follows:

  • 6 packs: $18.00 per shipment
  • 12 packs: $19.00 per shipment
  • 24 pack: $22.00 per shipment

Age verification and the signature of an adult 21+ years of age is required at the time of delivery. If you are not available to receive your shipment with required ID, you may incur additional shipping charges to redelivery.


Due to licensing restrictions, we currently only ship within California.

Local Delivery

City Beer offers local delivery via DoorDash in San Francisco. 

Local delivery charges are $11.99 per month (please note, prices are subject to change without notice).

Someone over 21 years old with valid photo ID must be available to receive deliveries. If you are not available to receive your delivery with required ID, you may incur additional charges to redeliver.


Canceling
You can cancel a month-to-month subscription by emailing subscriptions@citybeerstore.com before the 5th, the month.


If you purchased a set duration subscription (ex: 6 months) we are not able to cancel or refund the subscription.
 
If you need to pause your subscription, send us a note at subscriptions@citybeerstore.com.
