2. Cellarmaker - Simmer Dim (14.5%)
Barrel-aged Barleywine, the first beer in the United States to be aged in scotch whiskey barrels from Highland Park Distillery During aging in the oak, which formerly held Spanish sherry before Highland Park, the beer develops intensely rich attributes resembling toffee and dried fig and date. The peat smoke of the scotch imbues Simmer Dim with the most intriguing campfire background that plays nicely with some boozy heat.
3. Armistice - Hiney the Bunger 2022 (13.3%)
This year’s blend comprises two Heaven Hill barrels, both filled on the same day 21 months ago, allowing them to work their unique magic. Once the blend is perfected, Hiney undergoes a meticulous hand-bottling process, with each bottle receiving a distinct handwritten number.
4. Wondrous - Hope and Despair (13.7%)
Blend of Barrel Aged Barleywines, aged 2 years in Heaven Hill + Woodford Reserve barrels.
